MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES |
Active Physician Membership First year: $150 Doctors of Medicine or Doctors of Osteopathy, licensed to practice in the State of Florida; whose home or professional practice is in Miami-Dade County; and whose ethical and professional qualifications conform to the standards in the Dade County Medical Association Bylaws, and to the Principles of Medical Ethics of the Association and the American Medical Association (AMA), shall be eligible to become an active members. *Auto renewal: Paperless billing program to automatically renew membership each January. Affiliate Membership Individual: $50 per year Affiliate Organization: $250 per year Doctors of Medicine or Doctors of Osteopathy with a valid Florida driver's license, residing and practicing in a state or jurisdiction other than Miami-Dade County or Florida may apply for non-resident affiliate membership if they are members of the state, territory, or national medical association in their jurisdiction of residence. Professional medical/healthcare associations may also join as an affiliate organizations. Affiliated Organizations and participate in the DCMA PAC Board of Directors as long as they pay PAC dues. Other benefits include access to Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses at discounted rates.
Physician Assistant Membership Physician assistants, certified by the National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); graduated from an Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant school; licensed to practice medicine as physician assistants in the State of Florida; whose home or professional practice is in Miami-Dade County; and whose ethical and professional qualifications conform to the standards of the Dade County Medical Association Bylaws and to the Principles of Medical Ethics of the Association and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), shall be eligible for membership. Physician in Training Membership Doctors of Medicine or Doctors of Osteopathy, enrolled full-time as an interns, residents or fellows in a graduate medical education program in Miami-Dade County, approved by either the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or the American Osteopathic Association, are eligible for membership. Student Membership Full-time students enrolled in schools of allopathic medicine or schools of osteopathic medicine in Miami-Dade County, listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools; or residing in Miami-Dade County and attending a school of allopathic medicine or school of osteopathic medicine in a county outside of Miami-Dade County listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools are eligible for membership.
