Important Upcoming Policy Change Reminder: Only Electronic Claims Attachment Accepted Starting September 28, 2018
As the Agency for Health Care Administration (Agency) and its fiscal agent, DXC Technology (DXC), move towards automation and environmental sustainability, providers will see multiple changes over the next few months, which will include transitioning to a paperless environment.
Effective September 28, 2018, the fax line supporting submission of attachments for fee-for-service Medicaid claims, (866-267-3775), will be discontinued. The elimination of this process applies to both in-state and out-of-state providers. In-state providers are required to upload claim-related attachments via the secure Web Portal.
Note: Out-of-state providers may continue to submit paper claims with attachments or request the creation of a Web Portal account, with which claims and corresponding attachments can be submitted electronically.
Providers are always encouraged to stay connected by visiting the public Web Portal often for the most up-to-date information on these changes. Providers may also contact the Provider Services Contact Center at 1-800-289-7799, option 7, for any claims-related inquiries, or to speak with a field services representative.
