A CONFIDENTIAL RESOURCE FOR DCMA MEMBERS IN NEED

The LifeBridge: Physician Wellness Program
is designed to address the seriousness of physician burnout in our community. Practicing medicine can be highly stressful and doctors face day-to-day challenges with emotional stress and work burnout. This can impact one's personal, practice or family life.

LifeBridge, a resource that is voluntary and confidential. Once scheduling an appointment through a private 24/7 wellness line, four free sessions are available to all DCMA members.

Many physicians have expressed concern that seeking appropriate help from a mental health professional will create a medical record and could impact their licensure. LifeBridge was designed in conjunction with the Florida Board of Medicine specifically to be a pre-clinical program that does not create a medical record.

CONFIDENTIALITY:

LifeBridge is mindful of privacy and confidentiality. No information is disclosed to others. The certified counselors are experienced in coaching healthcare professionals and are dedicated to the needs of DCMA physicians with flexible hours and availability. DCMA does not keep client specific records. As a standard practice, clinicians keep confidential records, but do not reveal physician identity to the DCMA.
